Root of Joy is a personal development retreat held once a year in August, the Netherlands. A 3days journey of self-discovery, rest, nourishment and play in the heart of nature.
We gather a community of 30 growth lovers where to reconnect with the most alive sides of you.

Day 1
Get to Den Ouden Dam, land and feel home. Liberate your inner artist for a welcoming session of arts and crafts that will ease your meeting with the joyers.
Dinner will be provided and a magical evening will follow. The magic begins!
Day 2
A series of workshops held by the team from peer coaching to theatre for a full day of self-discovery, this year' focus is identity! You'll get the chance to dive deeper in what stands between you and joy, in a gentle flow through light, introspective and playful activities.
Day 3
Morning activities will give you the space to anchoor your discoveries, we'll have lunch all together and a closing ceremony in the afternoon. Departure before dinner, spread the joy to your beloved ones!

With 7+ years of experience in the educational field and a fine arts backgorund, she focuses on empowerment through physical theatre, expressive arts and somatic practices for a wider freedom of self-expression.

Since 2017 she's a coach, mentor, facilitator, project coordinator.
She host spaces for learning, creativity, personal growth through writing, movement, nature, positive psychology, creating events for resilience and connection.

Since 2016 he's a trainer, facilitator, and coach. With a background in neuroscience, psychology and business, he focuses on self-awareness, resilience, leadership for individuals and teams navigating change.
